Totally exhausted today. Stayed up watching Grey's Anatomy and the crossover into Private pratice. Not a big PP fan but seeing that it was a cross over it was entertaining. While watching tv i was also packaging the gorgeous sugar cookies that i baked for my daughters classmates. It started out just being a little valentine project to make cards for one of my daughter's secret valentine, turned out to be the entire class and teachers. Then the brilliant idea to bake cookies. Which i did on saturday, only to remember that i had to create a new batch from scratch since their is a student with nut allergies and i put almond extract in the cookies. of course i did research first to find out if this extract would cause anything major. Conclusion was that if the allergy is severe then yes almond extract would trigger an attack. So i had to use vanilla extract which is so not the same. Well on the up side we got to keep the nices almond favoured cookies home.
We also did the cards from scratch, i love digital scrapping, however i have not gotten a chance to really dive into this hobby but i do love designing backgrounds and frames for pics. The ones i made for the cards, i purchased online and used these by printing them on lovely card stock. My daugther asia helped cut out little hearts that we stuck on. My other daughter also helped by decorating the hearts with the glitter.
This project we started about a week ago so it was really good we did not feel pressed for time. Coming down to the end asia started decorating the insides of the cards, whihc stressed me out since she now had to do for all her friends so as not to hurt anyones feelings. This went on until 8:30 last night well after her bedtime. But she is very meticulous (like me) and talented. I hope to load up the pics to show all. Hopefully i would make some nice digital scrap pages out of these pictures for a future photobook.
